Hey, congratulate me for surviving my first transfer in my mission!
(One transfer=6 weeks). So i'm now in my 2nd transfer. I'm still here
in Eatontown 2nd ward with the same companion and trainer and still
under the 12-week training program.
To all LDS women, did you watch the General Women's Broadcast? We did!
And it was amazing. There's a part there that some of the members from
different countries sang the hymn "I am a Child of God" in their own
language. And it's cool to see the Filipinos and hear them singing the
Tagalog version of the "I am a child of God"! It just shows how much
Heavenly Father sees and loves us equally regardless of your language
and what nation you are from, right?! :) We are all daughters of God!
So here, I've been always thinking that I don't belong here and that I
can't love this place but Heavenly Father has been always saying, "You
are! And you are here for a purpose!" But still, I would always love
my own country, Philippines! I miss my homeward and speaking at the
pulpit so I took courage to stand up to bear my testimony during the
Fast and Testimony meeting yesterday. I also gave the closing prayer.
Hahaaaaayyyy. I was nervous!!! But those are opportunities to practice
and improve more my english speaking skill. Practice will make my
english perfect righhhht? Don't worry, I don't have an American accent
yet! (Elder Todd, I'm answering your question. Tell that to my Batac
Ward loves) :D
We have 3 investigators now with baptismal date. Praying and hoping
that they'll really be baptized on their respective baptismal goal
dates. This week was just usual, still finding for those who are most
prepared to hear and accept the gospel through contacting. This week
was also our final contacting battle. I and my companion and the other
2 Elders were finalists. We didn't win! Haha. they contacted 86 this
week and we had 85! It's super close!!! It was intense!!!! But it's
totally fine because we've seen miracles from that. I love contacting
by the way :)
It's been raining here since last week and the water and the wind is
superrrr cold!
Thanks so much for all those who emailed me this week. I do weekly
email first before responding to your personal emails. But now, I
don't think that I still have the time for it. I'll do it next time
okay? :) I love talking to my mom. I miss her! (I love you mama!)
These are some pictures with the other missionaries:
our district (blackboard background)
Eatontown 2nd ward missionaries (with the Exit sign),
with co-Filipinas Sister Trias and Sister Gaihe. They are both from
Cebu. They've been out for a year now! (you can say what picture it
is)
and with my companion, Sister Dahl and Sister Gaihe. Sister Dahl and
Sister Gaihe were companions before.
Enjoy!!!
Love you all
